Manchester City and Manchester United competed for the Premier League title in 2011/12, and it was decided on the final day of the season. City needed to win against QPR at home, while United needed to win against Sunderland away and hope that City would drop points.
City took the lead, but then conceded two goals, while United went ahead. It looked like United had won the title, until City scored two goals in stoppage time, with Aguero scoring the winner with almost the last kick of the game. City beat QPR 3-2, won the title on goal difference, and celebrated their first league title in 44 years, while United were left devastated. It was one of the most dramatic and memorable seasons in English football history.
